XV THE DEVIL
The Devil is the bearer of poverty, disaster and death. This card shows the human suffering and desolation. The Devil embodies the perverse individual regardless of their effect on others.
Represents the instinct, the unconscious of the hidden forces linked to animality of man and his passions.
Right:
He is the personification of evil being, one who is indifferent to everything and everyone, represents itself to the people endowed with a strong personal magnetism, marked tendency towards materialism and use their powers to subjugate others, and negatively influence their opinions, omens of failures, fatalities, injuries and sometimes shows an imminent danger.
In another sense in the context in which the letter comes up, can be a communication of a spirit, astral influence and black magic.
